This one-day conference welcomes stroke healthcare professionals including clinicians, researchers, rehabilitation specialists, policymakers, stroke advocacy organisations and community partners to learn from one another and foster integrated approaches to stroke prevention, acute care, and living well after stroke across the island of Ireland.

Abstracts

Abstract Submission Deadline 31st July 2026

Abstracts are invited for the conference aligned with the following categories:

  • Acute stroke care
  • Community
  • Stroke rehabilitation
  • Life after stroke/secondary prevention
  • Innovation in care and service delivery (e.g. codesign, public and patient partnership)
  • Digital health
  • Other

Please note the following guidelines when preparing your submission

  • 300-word limit
  • All sections of the online application must be completed
  • Please do not include tables or figures
  • Research reports with qualitative or quantitative methodologies, reviews, quality improvement, codesign work practice or service development will also be welcomed.
  • Confirmation of ethical approval should be included e.g. Confirm REC approval or include the REC reference number is sufficient.
  • If submitting a case study, please ensure confidentiality is maintained and confirm patient consent
  • Prizes will be awarded for best poster and oral presentations.
  • Presenters must register and be in attendance at the conference to be eligible for awards.
  • Consultants may submit and present work but are excluded from eligibility for prizes.
